Terms of use

Last updated

tabotter.com is provided by Richard Bailey. Using the site means accepting what follows. It is short, and there is nothing hidden in it.

The tools are free, and provided as they are

There is no charge, no account and no contract for a service. The tools are offered in good faith and maintained with care, but without warranty of any kind: I do not promise they are free of defects, that they will be available, or that any particular result will be correct.

Check the output before you rely on it

This matters more than it usually does, because some of these tools produce things people act on. A parts list becomes an order someone pays for. A converted document may be the copy that gets filed or sent.

Keep the original file, check the result, and satisfy yourself it is right before spending money or discarding anything on the strength of it. If a tool is wrong I want to hear about it and I will fix it, but I cannot be liable for what an incorrect result led you to do.

Your files stay yours

Nothing you open with these tools is transmitted to me, so I acquire no rights over it and could not claim any if I wanted to. Whatever you put in and whatever comes out remains entirely yours. See the privacy page for how that works technically.

You are responsible for having the right to process the files you use here, and for using the results lawfully.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

Intellectual property

The design, code and written content of this site belong to Richard Bailey, except where stated otherwise.

Trademarks mentioned on this site belong to their owners and are used descriptively, to say what a tool works with. Their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those owners. In particular, LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group, which does not sponsor, authorise or endorse this site.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for loss or damage arising from using this site, or from being unable to use it, including lost data, lost profit or costs incurred acting on a result the tools produced.

Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer your statutory rights are unaffected.

Links elsewhere

Some pages link to other sites: a marketplace where parts can be bought, a specification, a regulator. Those sites are not under my control and I am not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top says when they last did, and continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the current version.

If part of these terms does not hold

If a court decides any part of these terms cannot be enforced, that part is treated as removed and the rest still applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
